Matt Lyon, Executive Chef
Matt joined OMO Catering Co. in 2022.
His cooking career began at the iconic French restaurant, Ambria in 2006. After graduating from the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago-Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, he joined Wolfgang Puck, Chicago in the role of Executive Chef. During his time with Puck, Matt realized his passion for baking while working side-by-side with three times James Beard award winner and Wolfgang Puck Executive Pastry Chef, Sherry Yard. Matt has been featured on local and nationwide cooking segments on WGN Chicago and the The Hampton Roads Show. He went on to hold a Chef position at Blue Plate Catering and Braise, Virginia Beach, VA. Upon returning to Richmond, he was Executive Chef at Goodrich Gourmet and Brambly Park. He continues to reside in Richmond, VA with his black cat, Bean.
